Volunteer Opportunity at the Recovery Cafe: Feb. 18

On Saturday, February 18, Global Friends and the International Friendship House will be providing dinner for guests at the Recovery Cafe downtown which is a home for disadvantaged individuals in Seattle. On the night of the event there will be an open mic event filled with singing and music. We are asking volunteers for two things:

1. To help prepare the meals from 12-3:30 PM and/or to setup/serve/clean from 3:30 - 7:30 PM

2. To help cover food costs and also to be invested in the event with a suggested $10 donation.

Alpha has begun

This course is created for people who are not Christians or brand new Christians who want to learn the ABCs of Christianity. You do not need to believe in God, have any religious background, and can even be skeptical of Christianity. This course will explain what Christianity is, what it isn’t, and will probably surprise you. Come enjoy a free meal, friendship, and a video that provides topics for discussions. You are welcome to bring your friends and family with you. We will adjust to your schedule so you can come. To join, email VivienneL@upc.org.
