Led by Cathy and Jack

Cathy2 Jack2 This class was designed to meet the needs of Internationals who are new to Seattle. We will discuss things like getting a flu shot, going to the bank, how to find items in the store, and ordering food. We will invite you to ask questions, like “How do I open a bank account?” or “What do the different movie ratings mean?” or “How do I eat tacos?” You can ask any question and we will either answer them ourselves or find the answer for you.

David Are you curious about Christianity? We’ll be reading the book of Romans to discover what “Good News” is. Attending this class will help you answer the following questions: What is being righteous all about? How do you become righteous? This is also a great way to practice English conversation with friends, practice spoken and written English, and learn about faith where you are encouraged to ask questions.

English Through Music

This class was designed to teach English thru the use of music.  This will help with listening skills as well as vocabulary as we go through the meaning of the words used in the songs.  We Will Discuss:

  • Vocabulary from the lyrics
  • The interpretation of the song
  • American history related to the music
  • American culture related to history
  • How the artists’ view contrasts with other worldviews

We will invite you to ask questions that we will either answer them ourselves or find the answer for you.
